Grand Chute police believe a man drove around parts of the state to break into storage units.
Officer Travis Waas says officers arrested 30-year-old Patrick Lind of Appleton on Monday. He says investigators spent three weeks tracking him after he hit a couple of places in Grand Chute. He says that’s when they noticed the crimes branched out much farther than the Fox Valley.
Waas says officers witnessed Lind breaking into two storage facilities in Plover, near Stevens Point, last week. He says Lind was arrested near Maribel, after hitting a place there.
Police say they tracked him to facilities in 15 communities, including several in northeast Wisconsin. Places as far away as Milwaukee, Madison, and Antigo are also on the list.
Police are asking people to check their storage units to make sure the locks aren’t damaged, and nothing is missing.
