A tie vote ends the possibility of Brown County becoming a Second Amendment Sanctuary County.
The board voted last night after about four hours of discussion.
There was a packed house.
Supervisor Steve Deslauriers brought up the non-binding proposal.
He wanted to send a message to state and federal lawmakers on where Brown County stands on the issue.
Florence County is the first and only county in the state to pass a similar resolution.
