A Greenleaf woman is accused of dragging a Brown County Sheriff’s deputy during a traffic stop on I-41 earlier this week.
Prosecutors say 36-year-old Stephanie Verbeten refused to listen, and a deputy reached into her car to unlock the door. They say she leaned on the deputy’s arm, and started to drive off. They believe she dragged him about 15 feet, before he was able to free himself.
Verbeten was arrested a short time later. Police ordered blood tests because they had to give her two doses of Narcan.
