The Oshkosh School District will not to go referendum this spring.
The Oshkosh School Board was all set to vote on a $24.5 million dollar referendum question for the April ballot last night, when members learned of feedback from community groups questioning the proposal.
Superintendent Vicki Cartwright believes there is enough support in the community to approve a much larger referendum in November that would improve security systems and infrastructure, along with building new northside middle and elementary schools.
The school construction plan would turn Merrill into just a middle school and Webster Stanley into just an elementary.
The district does not have set costs for those projects yet.
