Lawrence University expanded the ways students could learn about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Director of Community Engagement Kristi Hill says they’re participating in the school’s annual service day, but they also spent five days learning about his message. She says they showed a documentary, and students made tie-dye T-shirts.
Hill says about 150 students are helping five different nonprofit groups today.
The annual Fox Cities Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration is at 6:30 p.m. at the Lawrence Memorial Chapel.
