Some local fast-food restaurants will have to pay a fine for breaking child labor laws.
The U.S. Department of Labor investigated some Wendy’s and Fazoli’s restaurants in several states. The Fazoli’s on N. Richmond Street in Appleton and one in Fond du Lac are on the list.
Wendy’s locations in Green Bay and Ashwaubenon are also included.
The franchise owner, Manna of Louisville, Kentucky, was fined nearly $160,000. The investigation found children worked before or after the legal hours on school nights, and for more hours than they’re allowed.
