The state’s unemployment rate rose by 0.1 percent last month.
It was 3.4 percent in December. Preliminary figures also show the state added 9,000 private sector jobs last month.
For the year, companies created 8,600 private sector positions. The unemployment rate went up 0.4 percent in 2019.
