The shipping season at the Port of Green Bay is coming to an end, and it was the best one in 12 years.
Nearly 2.3 million tons of cargo moved through the port. That’s up eight percent from a year ago.
Port Director Dean Haen says some of the products they handle are changing. He says they’ve had a big increase in gas, diesel and ethanol.
Haen says they’re also seeing a lot less coal. Shipments are down 62 percent from 2007.
