The Kaukauna school district is planning to renovate several buildings over the next couple of years.
Superintendent Mark Duerwaechter says the board will decide whether to focus on the elementary schools this summer, or work on River View Middle School.
He says at River View, they want to add an entrance on the south side of the building, move the music department, remodel the cafeteria, and work on traffic flow.
The district also wants to build new offices at the four elementary schools for security reasons.
All of the projects are expected to cost about $5 million. They were included in a referendum that failed last April.
Duerwaechter says they’ll use an additional $4 million from the state budget to help pay for the work.
