A political science professor at Lawrence University says there was an obvious high level of tension between Democrats and President Trump last night.
Professor Arnold Shober believes the impeachment proceedings played a big part in that. He says Trump and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi didn’t shake hands at the start. He says Pelosi tore his speech in half, and some Democrats walked out during the speech.
Shober thinks it’s clear the president looked quite comfortable. He thought Trump was enjoying himself, and he seemed pleased the impeachment proceedings were going to wrap up today in his favor.
