A state group is highlighting the Building for Kids in downtown Appleton for helping children with autism.
The Autism Society of Wisconsin is giving the museum its first community partner designation, under a new program.
Museum spokeswoman Casie Holdcroft says they hold a “Sensory Superstars” session every month for children on the spectrum. She says they also have special accommodations for kids with autism at all times.
A new temporary exhibit is debuting at the museum today, as well. Clubhouse Sports features a basketball court, putting green, and a golf-ball physics playground.
