One of the eight candidates for Appleton mayor spent 20 years on the city council.
Jim Clemons believes that experience would help him in the city’s top job.
He wants to make sure city leaders prioritize how they spent a limited amount of money. He says when they make decisions on spending money, they have to remember some people live on a fixed income.
Clemons served 20 years on the council, over two stints, ending in 2013. He’s served on every standing city committee, so he says he has a good grasp of what’s going on.
The primary for mayor is February 18th.
