Classes at Lineville Intermediate School are canceled today because of a fire.
Howard fire crews went to the school around 7:30 p.m. and found a fire in a dryer in a first-floor room.
The fire was contained to the dryer and was under control within 40 minutes but there’s smoke throughout the building.
The Howard-Suamico School District has a scheduled day off tomorrow.
Officials want to give a professional cleaning crew extra time to work in the building.
Classes will resume on Monday.
