A TV show is giving people a chance to learn more about Menasha.
“Around the Corner” with John McGivern is on PBS, and the host and crew were in the city last summer. The episode debuted last night.
Mayor Don Merkes says the show really showed off their city brand of “Your Place on the Water.” He says McGivern highlighted the riverfront in the downtown, and their lakes, throughout the episode.
The episode featured the Sonoco mill, and how workers make the cardboard that goes into rolls of toilet paper and paper towels that are used around the country. There were also stops at Mihm’s, and Faith Technologies.
Merkes believes it really provided a positive outlook on Menasha.
The episode is online at the PBS Wisconsin website.
