A documentary about the start of an Appleton-based Wisconsin National Guard unit is now online.
Major Brian Faltinson says it focuses on how about 15,000 soldiers from around the state helped form the 32nd “Red Arrow” Division, during World War I. He says they worked with the Wisconsin Veterans Museum and the National Archives to get pictures of the soldiers. He says the film tells their stories.
“Dawn of the Red Arrow” was produced for the 100th anniversary celebration of the unit. It debuted in May of last year.
The documentary is on YouTube.
