There’s a push to raise money for 40 nonprofits in the Green Bay area, starting at noon.
Give Big Green Bay runs for 24 hours. The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation is working with the Green Bay Packers Foundation on the event.
Community Foundation spokeswoman Amber Paluch says people can find out about the different groups online. She says it’s also an important day for the organizations, because of the exposure. In the past, she says nonprofits have recruited new volunteers.
It’s the third year of the one-day fundraiser. Almost $1.6 million came in last year.
The Packers are pledging about $360,000 in matching grants.
