People are speaking out for and against a proposed school referendum in Neenah.
A public hearing was held last night at the high school.
The district plans to put a referendum on the April ballot for the second straight year.
This one is for $114.9 million dollars, $15 million less than the one voters rejected last year.
Superintendent Mary Pfeiffer says the plan would improve safety and security at each school, build a new high school, close Shattuck Middle School and turn Horace Mann Middle School into an elementary.
Property taxes would go up by $99 a year for every $100,000 of value, if the referendum passes.
The district has three more informational meetings scheduled throughout March.
