The Green Bay School District is looking at possible consolidations.
Administrators are projecting up to a nine percent decline in enrollment by 2030. It’s expected to have the biggest impact on west side schools, because that part of the district is land-locked.
School Board President Brenda Warren says east side schools, like John Dewey Academy and the Northeast School of Innovation, are seeing strong growth. She says they have to make a decision with their location, because they don’t own that building.
The Green Bay School Board is holding a day-long workshop today to go over the consolidation options.
