Majority Republicans in the Assembly aren’t ruling out trying to override Governor Evers’ veto of a tax cut bill.
The proposal would’ve cut income taxes by $250 million and lowered personal property taxes for businesses by $45 million.
Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke of Vandenbroek says they could take a vote this spring.
Governor Evers is pushing his own plan to give $250 million to public schools. Another $130 million would be used to lower school property taxes.
