A state appeals court is overturning a ruling that ordered the removal of up to 209,000 people from the state’s voter rolls.
The 4th District Court put the order on hold last month, so judges could consider the case.
An Ozaukee County judge initially ruled in favor of a conservative law firm that was seeking the purge. The appeals court also threw out that judge’s order that the state Elections Commission be held in contempt, for not moving forward with removing the names.
