The state is handing out $75 million in new funding to road projects around Wisconsin.
Governor Evers was in the Green Bay area today to announce the money will be divided between more than 150 projects. One million will go to widen and improve Lineville Road in Howard and Suamico, starting in 2024.
Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach says they’ll be able to finish the work in two years, instead of four. He says the funding will have a ripple effect, because they’ll be able to use some county money on projects in Ashwaubenon and Allouez.
Calumet County will get $1 million for Highway N, south of Highway KK in the Darboy area. Kimberly will receive $1 for work on Railroad Street and Creekview Lane.
