The teen accused of stabbing a police officer at Oshkosh West High School wants a jury from outside Winnebago County to hear the case.
The attorney for Grant Fuhrman is filing a change of venue motion, citing pre-trial publicity.
Prosecutors say Fuhrman stabbed Officer Mike Wissink in the neck with a barbeque fork, in Wissink’s office, last December 3rd. They say Wissink then shot Fuhrman to stop the attack.
Judge Daniel Bissett is scheduled to rule on the motion on March 30th.
Fuhrman is charged with attempted murder.
