The man convicted of killing three Girl Scouts and one of their mothers after “huffing” is going to prison for 54 years.
Colten Treu hit the girls near Eau Claire, in the fall of 2018. He pleaded no contest to four counts of homicide by intoxicated driving.
The victims were picking up trash along a highway in Lake Hallie. They were nine-year-old Jayna Kelley, 10-year-old Autumn Helgeson, 10-year-old Haylee Hickle, and Hickle’s 32-year-old mother, Sara Jo Schneider.
