The History Museum at the Castle is using the alphabet to show off local artifacts.
The new exhibit is called “Fox Cities ABCs” and it’s in the main gallery.
Chief Curator Dustin Mack says they pulled some of their best items out of storage, and paired each one with a letter. He says people can see the puppet for Donner that was part of the classic “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” TV special.
Other highlights include an electric motor from Appleton’s streetcar system and a white beaver fur top hat worn by Charles A. Grignon in the 1800s.
Mack says they have a lot of great pieces in storage, but it’s difficult to find organized ways to display them.
There are also some activities for children.
