Fourteen members of the Green Bay fire department are currently in quarantine, because they recently traveled.
Chief David Litton says they were either in high-risk areas, or they flew on an airplane. He says they’re trying to limit the spread in their own ranks, so they can provide public safety servcies.
He’s also limiting the potential exposure of older employees to COVID-19 patients. Litton is blocking any medics over 50, with any pre-existing health conditions, from riding on ambulances.
Litton points out that no members of the Green Bay Fire Department have tested positive for coronavirus, or shown any symptoms.
