Health officials are asking people not to come to northern Wisconsin.
Vilas County Health Officer Laurel Dreger put out a travel advisory this week, asking owners of cottages and summer homes to stay where they are right now. She says the county might have the highest population of older adults in the state, and their medical infrastructure is very limited.
Forest County also issued a similar travel advisory.
Snowbirds are also encouraged to remain where they are, while travel restrictions are in place.
