A federal judge will give voters more time to get an absentee ballot, and send it back to their local clerk.
Judge William Conley is refusing to postpone the entire election, so in-person voting will still happen next Tuesday.
People now have until Friday, April 3rd, at 5 p.m., to request an absentee ballot.
Local clerks need to receive the completed ballots by Monday, April 13th at 4 p.m.
If voters can’t get a witness to sign their absentee ballot, they can include a handwritten note that they made reasonable efforts to find a witness.
