DMV offices around the state will now only offer essential services, by appointment.
The state is making the change tomorrow.
People can only make appointments for commercial drivers licenses, and to get a drivers license or ID for voting if they just moved to Wisconsin. Voters needing to go through a petition process to get an ID can also set up an appointment.
They need to call the state DMV Communication Center, at 608-264-7447, to set up a time.
The DMV says many services are available on the agency’s website.
