I’m learning a new way of life – working from home. For a person who’s used to being at the office/station – occasionally even while on vacation – its a very weird transition. Broadcasting a three hour show aside, there are still lots of questions and frustrations that eventually fade away only to be replaced by a new set of problems. But its getting better… more ‘normal’ if you will. Some, you figure out as you go along… but sometimes you seek some sage advice from those with expertise in the matter.
A new poll from YouGov asked work-at-homers to give advice to non work-at-homers who are now learning to be a fully-fledged work-at-homer. Their words of wisdom were compiled and presented in an easy-to-read list of which we’ve presented for you below.
1. Take Breaks 26%
2. Develop a Routine 22%
3. Create a Home Office Space 14%
4. Get up and move around 11%
5. Clearly Separate work and play 9%
6. Don’t watch TV 9%
7. Get dressed 8%
8. Keep in touch with co-workers 7%
And now you know… and knowing is half the battle.
