A Dane County judge will be joining the state Supreme Court.
Judge Jill Karofsky won a 10-year term on the state’s highest court, over incumbent Justice Daniel Kelly.
Karofsky was supported by liberal groups, and conservatives backed Kelly. Her win cuts the conservative majority on the court to 4-3.
Former Governor Scott Walker appointed Kelly to the court in 2016.
