Waushara County has a new district attorney.
Governor Evers is appointing Laura Waite. She’s been an assistant DA in Wood County.
Evers says she has a diverse legal background with extensive experience working with survivors of domestic and child abuse.
Waite will take over for retired District Attorney Steven Anderson. Her term will run through January of next year.
