Prosecutors are now charging a Howard woman with the death of her five-year-old son.
Twenty-five-year-old Sagal Hussein is accused of neglecting the boy. The child had disabilities, and they say his body was found in a duffle bag in the trunk of Hussein’s car in late March.
Child Protective Services was trying to find the boy for about two months, and prosecutors say Hussein lied about where he was.
Brown County Sheriff’s deputies got a warrant, after finding Hussein’s car parked at a friend’s house. A medical examiner believes the boy had been dead for months.
