You’ve probably heard the phrase, “reading the tea leaves” which is an offshoot divination practice called tassegraphy where one drinks a cup of tea and the remnants of the steeping process, left at the bottom of the cup are examined to predict a future event or outcome.
Same basic premise here but with asparagus.
Jemima Packington, a woman from Bath, England, is a self-professed ‘asparamancer‘ where she will cast / toss asparagus and based on how it lands, divine a future prognostication.
The asparagus pattern (right) Ms. Packington ‘casted’ predicts, “
paramancer has correctly predicted Brexit and England’s Cricket World Cup win in recent times.
She added: “The May prediction shows a letter V and a letter E… foretelling a double celebration during the upcoming holiday and… really great, good news on the way for us all this month.”
Some of her past correct prognostications include Brexit and the outcome of England’s Cricket World Cup team. She also predicts a victory for Donald Trump in November and a subsequent successful 2nd impeachment.
The only things I know for sure involving the future and asparagus is that; (A) my pee will smell after ingesting it and (B) rather than ‘reading’ asparagus, I’d rather be shopping for asparagus outside at a farmer’s market.
