There isn’t firm data on whether coronavirus can live on packages and bags from grocery stores or carry-out food.
That’s why ThedaCare Dr. David Brooks believes it’s best to act as if everything you’re handling is potentially contaminated.
He recommends getting rid of wrappers and plastic bags immediately after getting home.
Brooks says fast-food and take-out containers should be thrown away, and the food put on normal plates. He thinks the food is safe, because it’s cooked and warm.
Brooks was a guest on the Rick and Len Show on WAPL.
