A new TV show will feature Appleton tonight.
“Small Town Throwdown” is on the Discovery Channel, and host and comedian Mo Mandel travels to places to debunk stereotypes.
He picked Appleton, because it was ranked as “America’s Drunkest City” in 2016.
Andy Potter of the Appleton Yacht Club helped set up a polar plunge in the Fox River with Mandel. He’s excited to see how the show turns out.
Mandel made a number of stops to learn about Appleton. Potter believes the host and crew really enjoyed the city.
Tonight’s episode is on at 9 p.m.
