The state is reporting 2.3 percent of new COVID-19 tests came back positive.
That’s the lowest percentage in at least a month. The previous low in May was three percent on May 18th.
The total for the previous two days was 5.3 percent. Thursday’s was 4.8 percent, Wednesday’s was 5.7 percent, and Tuesday’s was 3.6 percent.
There are 18,403 confirmed coronavirus cases in Wisconsin. That’s 173 more than yesterday.
It’s the smallest daily increase since May 18th, when there were 144 new cases.
The number of returned tests results (7,480) is the lowest since May 24th (7,277).
There have been 592 confirmed deaths in the state. That’s four more than yesterday.
The state had double-digit deaths in each of the previous four days.
Fond du Lac County has 10 new cases, for a total of 213.
Winnebago added six, and now has 244. Outagamie has four more, and a total of 227.
Waupaca has two new cases, and 41 overall.
Four counties each have one more. Brown is up to 2,319, Shawano 47, Kewaunee 35, and Green Lake 20.
The statewide hospitalization rate for confirmed cases is 14 percent.
The state is reporting 63 percent of confirmed cases have recovered. That’s one percent higher than yesterday.
