Books on race are becoming hot sellers at local bookstores.
Lions Mouth Bookstore owner Amy Mazzariello says people are trying to understand what’s happening in the country. She says the books really break down and uncover the situation, in a way that’s not threatening, but speaks to knowledge.
UW-Green Bay Diversity Coordinator Mai Lo Lee believes more people want to know how to react to, and deal with racism they see. She says they don’t think it’s enough anymore, that they’re not racist.
Mazzariello says the titles that are selling best are “White Fragility” and “How to be an Anti-Racist.”
