A peaceful protest in Green Bay brought out about 1,000 people yesterday.
They gathered at Leicht Memorial Park to rally against police brutality and equality. Organizers hope demonstrations like theirs will encourage people to take action. Laura Jones from Green Bay thinks that could be by giving financially to organizations that promote equality or validating a person of color when they tell their story of injustice. Green Bay ended its curfew last night, a day earlier than scheduled. The protests follow the death of George Floyd while in police custody.
