A local DACA recipient says waiting for a decision was another stressor in his life.
Mario Ortega says he had a sigh of relief, when he found out about the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision, upholding the program for young immigrants. He wants to be able to work and help the economy and country grow.
Ortega says he was surprised by the ruling, but in a good way.
Workers at Casa ALBA Melanie in downtown Green Bay were also relieved. They help people apply to renew their membership in the DACA program.
