About 400 people donated blood, during a large drive in downtown Appleton this week.
The Community Blood Center in Grand Chute puts on the MASH blood drive.
Vice president of donor services Kristine Belanger says they needed to have about 40 donors an hour, and that’s what they got. She believes it was the second-best turnout they’ve had in the last six or seven years.
The drive was moved to the Fox Cities Exhibition Center because of the pandemic, so they could have more room. It’s typically in Houdini Plaza.
Donors also had to make appointments.
