The History Museum at the Castle in downtown Appleton is one of five cultural organizations in Wisconsin to get some federal stimulus help.
Curator Dustin Mack says they’re receiving about $58,000 from the National Endowment for the Humanities. That’s the largest amount in the state. He says only 14 percent of organizations in the country received a grant, after applying.
Mack reports the money will help cover the salaries for a few staff members through the end of the year. They also bought laptops, so they can work from home.
