A Dane County judge dismisses a civil lawsuit against two former U-W Oshkosh administrators that improperly committed the school to private debt. The U-W System sued former Chancellor Richard Wells and Vice Chancellor Tom Sonnleitner when it came to light that they had signed letters of guarantee for loans given to the U-W-O Foundation. The civil suit was filed before Wells and Sonnleitner were charged with felony crimes. Both of them were convicted and were ordered to pay 75-thousand dollars in restitution.
