Members of the Shawano school board are asking a member to resign.
The board met last night in an emergency session, after board member Mart Grams posted on his personal Facebook page, “George Floyd is drug free for two months. ”
President Tyler Schmidt says the board doesn’t have the authority to remove Grams.
Grams posted later about his comment, “A joke, period. Anyone can say it was insensitive, or poor taste, but, once the racist cards come out, the raw hatred, we have a very poorly trained generation who cannot deal with the slightest contradiction to what they are told.”
