Seven workers at the state’s prison in Portage were fired, and another was suspended, in connection with an escape in April.
The state Department of Corrections isn’t releasing any other information about the moves.
Inmates Thomas Deering and James Newman escaped in April. They were caught the next day, when they stopped at a homeless shelter in Illinois.
A Pardeeville woman who worked in the prison kitchen was charged with helping the inmates escape.
