Politicians from both parties are partnering to make sure people can vote safely and securely.
Former Republican Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen is one of the co-chairs of the VoteSafe Wisconsin Coalition. He says there was a lot of confusion before the April election. He says there were political disagreements and rulings over how people could vote.
The coalition plans to promote absentee and in-person voting in the upcoming elections.
Democratic Attorney General Josh Kaul is the other co-chair. He wants local officials to raise any concerns they have, so the state can deal with them right away.
Former Republican Congressmen Reid Ribble of Sherwood and Tom Petri of Fond du Lac are also part of the coalition.
