Well, this is one way to keep people socially distanced from the beach.
Beach goers at Steger Beach in Cape May, New Jersey, were surprised when thousands of bees began swarming the beach.
Within minutes, thousands of bees had clustered on a towel on the back of a beach chair.
Lifeguards kept people away while a local beekeeper was summoned to the scene.
The beekeeper collected the bees in a cardboard box within fifteen minutes of arriving, telling authorities that the swarm was likely following a queen bee to the spot.
Thankfully the bees were docile, and there were no reports of anyone being stung.
