Two coaches of a local girls basketball team are accused of taking part in a brawl at a tournament this week.
According to Germantown Police, the Wisconsin Blizzard out of Appleton was taking on the Playground Elite team out of Milwaukee on Wednesday when fans of the Milwaukee team were ordered out of the gym for harassing the referees.
As those young men were leaving, they reportedly got into a verbal altercation with members of the Blizzard coaching staff, which led to a physical confrontation. A mother and her 15-year-old daughter were reportedly punched by the coaches, who also suffered injuries in the melee.
Germantown police have not released the names of those involved, as their investigation is continuing.
The rest of the girls tournament was canceled.
