Alcohol is believed to be a factor in a crash that injured several people in Shawano County.
Sheriff’s officials say deputies were called to Highway 29 at Clark Drive in the town of Richmond around 9:30 p.m. Lieutenant Jesse Sperberg says four people were in a car when the driver, a 21-year-old Waunakee man, tried to cross the highway in front of a semi. Officials say two people were thrown from the car and a helicopter was called to transport some of the injured to a hospital.
