Dodge County Sheriff’s deputies say a man led them on a high-speed chase about an hour after he was released from prison.
They got a call about a domestic abuse incident along Highway 151, between Waupun and Beaver Dam. They say a woman got out of the car, and the driver took off.
Deputies report the man eventually crashed into some trees in a lawn, in Lowell. They say he tried to run away, before he was arrested.
Forty-year-old Equon Hopkins of Madison had been in the Waupun prison.
