The state’s top health official says they’re implementing a mask mandate to deal with “significant community spread” of coronavirus.
Starting tomorrow, people will have to wear a mask inside buildings. Private homes aren’t included.
Department of Health Services Secretary Andrea Palm says Wisconsin is in a much more serious situation than a month ago, and even when Governor Evers declared his original public health emergency in March.
Palm says 61 of the 72 counties have a high activity level, and only two are in the low category. She says only three counties currently have a downward trend, and they’re already at the high level.
